Annington Challenge 2018 - Are you aged 11-19, from a Service family and looking for an adventure this summer?

Background.  Children and young adults from Armed Forces families can enjoy a-once-in-a-lifetime outward bound adventure this summer, thanks to an initiative run by the Annington Trust and The Outward Bound Trust. The Annington Challenge offers outward bound adventures where activities include trekking, abseiling, canoeing and kayaking. The Annington Challenge, like all of the Outward Bound courses, aims to support young people to develop their personal, social and emotional skills, giving them the necessary tools to thrive at school, in further education, in employment and beyond. The Annington Challenge is open to all Armed Forces children. Participants will need the support of their school or college and if chosen, must be prepared to write a short report on their experience.
Although the challenge was heavily subscribed in all locations, some places have become available for the 19 days Skills for Life course which starts on the 30th July through to the 17 August. This is at the Aberdovey Outward Bound site in Wales. Participants will have to pay a £399 contribution to the overall cost which is over £1000.
If anyone would like to apply for the last remaining places, visit
